What computer hardware needs to have drivers updated?

Hi everyone. I am currently planning on building a new computer. I am wondering what hardware I need to get driver updates for (first time building a computer). I know you need to update the motherboard and the graphics card. What else? Thanks everyone.

As far as updating components it shouldnt be too difficult, especially if your building a new pc. If you OS is Vista, just try picking components that are compatible and it should work fine without any updates. And so on for any OS.

Also, I’m a fan of "if its working right, why update?". Sometimes updating a component can make it worse rather than better.

Might want to add a little more detail, are you building a computer from brand new parts? or upgrading a current one?

Either way, if you need to update drivers – download this great program called radar sync http://www.radarsync.com/

It will scan your system and detect which hardware needs a driver update, and will download/install said drivers.

you don’t have to necessarily update the motherboard and by that i hope you know you need to flash the bios and that’s the only way to "update" that. The only other things that could possible need drivers is the sound card, network card along with the graphics card. Also, the cd/dvd drive if the computer will have one.
