Girls in their teens and in college are inundated with fashion from their friends and acquaintances. One can say they are immersed in fashion and have to be very fashion conscious to not appear out of touch and to decide what to wear every day.
Here is some advice to help those girls keep up to date with the latest fashion trends.
There are different styles that come out every year. Most designers release at least two collections per year, during fall and spring, while others release four collections – one for every new season. It is really tough being sharp on all those new things considering the different styles that are introduced with all those new collections. Besides, not all styles fit all people.
Even though you would love to wear a particular outfit that looked really good on the model on the runway, it might look pretty odd and out of place when you wear it. The first key to narrowing down your focus is to zoom in on those collections and styles that fit your particular height, weight, and personality type.
If you want to be on the safe side, select one of the classic styles. They rarely go out of fashion. However, girls don’t always like wearing classic clothes so, how can they always be in fashion? A simple way to make girls fashion work for you is to choose from a collection that suits you best. For example, if a particular color suits your skin tone best, you can wear a top of that color with jeans or black pants, which don’t have to be from the same collection.
Accessorizing is another clever way of keeping up with the latest girls Fashion without even having to wear clothes from the latest trends. Work with your body’s strong and weak point, and select accessories that will enhance your best features. Nobody is perfect. You need to hide your flaws and enhance your godd features, just like those seemingly perfect models that grace the catwalks of the fashion world.
A belt, scarf, hair clips or shoes can make all the difference in looking like an out of touch cave dweller and a hip fashion-conscious urban girl.
Make sure that you know what works for you and then find the fashion news sources that cover new collections and styles that suit you specifically. That way you can always be up to date with the latest girl fashion without suffering from information overload.

Girls, what do you think of the following fashion trends?
Wearing dresses over jeans?
-what length of dress is perfect for this and how long is to long?
-what style of dress is to formal for this?
Wearing long necklaces?
-what style of shirts is best to do this with and what length?
I just want an opinion =] Thank you!

I wouldn’t wear long dresses over jeans. Just the short dressy tops.
I wear long necklaces. Just not too long.

personally i dont like the dress over jeans look, i think its kinda tacky. but some people manage to pull it off. just get a casual dress for this, like something flowery maybe, nothing too shiny, or with pows, to long is when the dress hits your knees or around two inches above there, and perfect is about 3 or 4 inches below the waist
i love long neckalaces! i wear them with plain shirts and outfits to "spice" up my outfit, and type of shirt, just get a plain t-shirt or tank top. or a plain colored one at least
hope this helps:)

Dresses over Jeans?
Definite NO for me. I hate the look, mainly because it looks like I couldn’t find a shirt my size.
Long necklaces?
L.O.V.E. You can either wear a very high up shirt (Eg. Turtleneck) to accent it or wear a low cut shirt. I wouldn’t go in the median.
Just my two cents.

Wearing Dresses Over Jeans:
i personally dont like it.. i mean, if your going to wear a dress, you might as well show off your legs(:
-length: probably a little bit above the knee. anything longer is too long.
-style of dress: well too formal would be if you were wearing like a strapless party dress over jeans.. it doesnt look right. if you were wearing a more casual dress then it would be fine.
Wearing long necklaces:
I think they’re superr cute!
-shirts: more plain shirts a better because then you can show off the necklace more!

Unless you’re pretty skinny, the jeans have to be skinny jeans. The dress can’t be past the knee (just reaching the knee is ok). The style can’t be formal/rich party (like cocktail or something you would wear at a graduation), but rather flowy and casual and fun.
I love long necklaces. I LOVE long necklaces.
V-neck and low round cuts (like what you see on tank tops) work nicely. I think higher cuts don’t work too well because too much material is behind the necklace and distracts.

i wouldnt wear dresses over jeans, that’s kinda weird.
but if you did, probably a short, non-formal dress with reallly tight skinny jeans.
leggings would be better though.
i love long necklaces, and they go with pretty much any tank top.
or like tank top and cardigan outfit haha

personally i HATE dresses over jeans…. i just think it looks like you couldn’t decide what to wear. HOWEVER i do not mind a tunic over skinny jeans. if you are going to wear a dress over your jeans what type of jean would you wear? i would suggest a skinny jean over something that would go mid length maybe 4-5inch fr ur knees. You can go both ways for this dress. You could either do something a little more form fitting or do something a little more boho style. i wouldnt suggest doing anything aline beause you may just be adding too much on one outfit!
a great substitution for dresses over jeans would be leggings under your dress! they work just as well as jeans if your doing this for warmth.
Another suggestion would even be a nice mid-length tunic over a wide trouser style pant.
i personally love long necklaces! you could do both a casual type of style or even a nice layered look for a more business appropriate look. Maybe a nice white top with a couple different lengths of long necklaces would add some visual interest to a simple button down shirt? and for length as long as it doesn’t go past where your shirt ends i think its fine! if you are tucking in a shirt then not past your belly button!
have fun accessorizing

dress over jeans, NO. denim leggings underneath spring clothes is okay! any shirt or dress works as long as it covers your rear. if you don’t know what is too "formal" then you should really consider buying a magazine…
long necklaces are kind of over unless they’re vintage looking.

Dresses over jeans- I like it as a casual look. The dress needs to be loose around the hips so that you don’t have blue jean lumps and bumps showing. Bandana prints or solid colors would be flattering. A sleeveless empire waist or baby doll dress would go perfectly with a pair of straight leg or skinny jeans. Avoid flare or bootcut styles- flare at the ankles will clash with the flare of the dress. I would not wear a tight or formal dress over jeans. For example, a sheath dress or a spagetti strap dress would look horrible over jeans. I would also avoid wearing a dress that is too long. The hemline of the dress should not go any lower than mid-thigh, otherwise you run the risk of looking sloppy.
Long Necklaces- I like long necklaces. Chain type necklaces are most versatile because they can go with t-shirts, blouses, and sweaters. I like the look of rock-like assymetrical bead necklaces, but they are more difficult to pair with clothes because the color and the style have to match. The bolder the colors and shapes, the fewer things you can wear the necklace with. Usually, bead necklaces are more suitable for business casual wear… they’re too informal for important occasions or formal business suits, but they look weird with t-shirts. In general, the shirt needs to be longer than the necklace. Low cut shirts and long necklaces tend to look sloppy together. Long necklaces go best with boat neck, mock turtleneck, turtleneck, and any other style of blouse that is not low cut. The best thing about a long necklace is that it creates the illusion of a longer torso and makes you look thinner.

Eh personally i dont like dresses over jeans. The only time i might accept it is if its over "jeggings" which are these denim legging type things they are really neat and comfortable, check out joe’s jeans.
any dress that you think would pass more as a casual but cute top if it were shorter would work, anything that wouldnt work like that might be too formal
I like long necklaces if they are thin, not chunky ones though. You can do a cute long necklace with a casual dress, or any normal top length really
